Every sperm is sacred?
So, I saw this a few days ago, as linked in [info]kuni_bob's journal. But I never made a post, as I had meant to.

Forever Pregnant.

Basically, federal guidelines are to happen that will ask that any woman able to have a baby should act as if she's going to, "pre-pregnant," whether or not she ever plans to do it. So no smoking, alcohol, be healthy, take folic acid supplements. Because women are only uteruses. Not that men have to worry about this or be healthy. Just us uteruses.

MY AUNT HAD A BABY! :D YAY FOR HER! On Wednesday. She's got two girls already, so I know they were really hoping for a boy but were trying not to think like that, should it be a girl. AND IT WAS A BOY. HURRAY FOR THEM! Hah, now they're the image of my family. Two older girls and a younger boy. POOR GIRLS.

My brother is such a retard. Last night he snuck out at 2 AM to go get drunk with and smoke pot with a kid he was banned from seeing a few years back. Then he went to school where he finally remembered the complet paper. Then work. Meanwhile, at work, he did do something amazing-- the night manager said, out of boredom, let's have a contest! The first person to sell a box of these donuts wins. He sold FOUR BOXES to FOUR DIFFERENT PEOPLE in the first MINUTE. One woman he wooed by saying, "I love you!" Even when the manager or I were handling people, he'd hold up a box and make suggestive faces, or say, "Come on! 3.69 for three flavors of deliciousness!"

The manager now thinks he should sell cars.

the pre pregnant thing - what's frustrating is it's sensible for the government - and they are trying to reduce infant mortality, but what sucks is there is no dealing with the 'emotional' or 'social' aspects. Women don't get pregnant alone...

This couldn't have taken me longer to reply to, sorry! --- But, yeah. It's a good thing for women to be healthy, sure, but... I mean, there's a lot of other things that cause issues in babies, and there's a lot of reasons a woman should want to be healthy. But it's personal choice. Though, it's not like they're MAKING women do it. It just makes it seem like it's all about being walking uteruses, "pre-pregnant," and while maybe eventually that'll be a motivation for me, it isn't now. It just makes me kind of boggle.

And men should be worried about their health too. :/ Because they don't give birth to the future, I guess it's not important to make a guideline about?

Well, most of the healthcare things that pregnant women have to go through are seen as healthy anyway, like not smoking (we all know why not), or taking folic acid (nice shiny hair and nails), or keeping asthma and diabetes under control (because who wants to suffer huge kidney or lung failure?) but I agree - it's a lifestyle choice. And since I have spent the last two days in throes of agonising TMI, I despise my uterus, and refuse to be a uterus. Simple. The fact that I don't smoke and take vitamin pills containing folic acid and try and eat a healthy diet is because I want to be a healthy person, not because I want a baby - let alone because I want to be a baby machine.

Yeah. It's not a bad... like, OK, so taking vitamins and folic acid, it's good for you. And they're not MAKING it happen, just telling everyone to encourage it and treat you like it. But I hate the term "pre-pregnant." That's not why I need to be healthy. And men should be trying to do these things too -- not only us because we give birth to the future, baby machines r us?

STFU, Federal guidelines.

Should I, then, not eat fish or take drugs should I get taburculosis (those drugs are known to cause hearing loss in babies!) And gee, I have thyroid problems. If I'm pregnant, chances are my kid'll be deformed. And possibly have hypo or hyperthyroidism on top of it. Awesome.

Oh wait, I have to become radioactive again in a few months. I guess the kid'll be double deformed. But hey, it doesn't need a heart.

Or ... since I'm pre-pregnant does that mean we should wait until I get pregnant and have my child before we start treating me for cancer? Or, well, after that I'll be pre-pregnant again! And what happens when I AM radioactive? All the folic acid in the world isn't going to help that kid should I get preggers.

And you'd better stop prescribing birth control! 'Cause that can sometimes cause problems in babies! Not so much until you'd already know you're pregnant, but still. Can't be too careful.

Asking health care professionals to put a higher emphasis on not smoking, not drinking, and taking folic acid isn't bad. But pre-pregnant? Give me a break.

*cough* In other words, uh, go your donut-selling brother!

Well, duh! I eat tuna a lot. A lot of tuna. Tuna tuna tuna. It's got a lot of mercury in it. Uh oh :/.

OHshit, it's true, I AM ON THE PATCH. THAT'S NO GOOD. I guess I'll get off it and get cysts and more operations, yes, good idea.

Yeah. Uhm. It's good to be healthy. IT'S A LAME REASON. How about federal guidelines, "you're all too fucking fat" and making everyone eat better? Well, "Making" is a bad term, but, this pre-pregnant baloney is killer.

You thought the Matrix in which we all live in pods of goo and only think we are running around all over town and with our friends was done by some virtual intelligence machine. Oh no my friend!

It is being done by the self-righteous right. First no fertilized egg will be wasted (leave no conception behind) and then it will be the egg and the sperm. There is only one way to insure proper prepregnancy behavior will occur: institutionalization.

When young people go through puberty, they will be sent to institutions to insure no egg or sperm is wasted. They will be harvested. Boys will be milked like cows to suck out every sperm before it can be wasted in some sock or paper towel, or heaven forbid, some sex act with another person. Eggs will be removed from girls as soon as they are released. Harmless amusements will be provided as well a religious instruction and indoctrination. They will be allowed to leave to go to church, only.

When a married woman becomes pregnant (missionary position and for procreation only), all manner of probes and monitoring devices will be shoved up into her to insure the fetus is maturing properly. There will be no exceptions. There will be no discrimination, all will have to go.

It's the new order. First the brain dead like Terry Shiavo and then the unborn and then the unconceived.

If you don't want to know the truth, then keep reading comments and other posts -- take the Blue Pill. However if you want to know the truth and future of us all, then click the Red Pill (http://jetage.blogspot.com/2005/03/terri-schiavo-and-matrix.html)

Don't do it if you don't want to know.
